Originally, raced as the silver #9 Camaro during the 1975, 1976, and 1977 seasons. It proved to be a race winner for Bobby Allison at Riverside, CA in 1975. In 1976 AJ Foyt drove it in three of the four races to clinch his second-straight IROC Championship. Richard Petty, Bobby Unser, and Emerson Fittipaldi also drove this silver #9 Camaro.

Apparently, two feet at Daytona in 1975, measures out to a lifetime of bragging rights between Indy 500 Champions, AJ Foyt and Bobby Unser. The pair battled to the second closest finish in series history. Driving this gold-brown #10 Camaro, Foyt was nipped at the line by Unser, which proved to be the cars best career outing. Legends David Pearson, James Hunt, Brian Redman, and Johnny Rutherford all spent time in the #10.

This blue #4 celebrates Peter Gregg’s dominant October 1978 flag to flag win from the pole at Riverside. The next day, a late race spin squashed Gordy Johncock’s chances of a weekend sweep, leading every lap in the #4 until three laps to go. While Peter Gregg, Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip, and Gordy Johncock scored podiums, an eclectic list of drivers spent time in the #4, from F1 Champions Keke Rosburg and Alan Jones to Indy legends Rick Mears and Danny Ongais, and road racer Don Whittington.

The maxi-blue #4 Camaro debuted in IROC III at the Michigan International Speedway in September 1975 with F1 Champion James Hunt behind the wheel. The car’s best outing was recorded by NASCAR Champion Benny Parsons with a fifth at Riverside in 1975. Iconic drivers from Sports Cars and Indy Cars like Brian Redman, Bobby Unser, Al Holbert, and Jody Scheckter complete the cars impressive driver lineup.

In 1977, Paul Newman, Clint Eastwood, James Brolin, Gene Hackman, along with professional drivers George Follmer and Bob Bondurant, had a play day at Sonoma. A year later, Newman used the #15 to tape “A Lap Around Riverside” for the ABC Sports telecast. The car spent most of its career as a practice car but has the best winning percentage with two wins in three races by Cale Yarborough and Darrell Waltrip, along with a fourth-place finish with F1 Champion Alan Jones. 31 different drivers turned laps in the #15 including Rusty Wallace leading up to his NASCAR debut.

The black #7 started its racing life as the 1977 yellow IROC #2, winning its debut with Al Unser, Sr. behind the wheel at Michigan in 1977. Iconic F1 Champion Niki Lauda only made one IROC start during his career, it was on October 14, 1978, in this very Camaro Z28. After its IROC era, it competed in the Trans-Am Series and SCCA regional events, where it won a Trans-Am race in 1981 at Charlotte, NC, with George Follmer. Due to a controversial penalty for jumping the final restart, a timed penalty moved the #16 Cooke-Woods Racing Camaro to the fourth position in the final results.

This lime-green car competed in 26 races from 1987-1995, first as a Chevrolet Camaro with Dale Earnhardt and last as a Dodge Avenger with Mark Martin. #14 earned three wins with three different drivers from three different disciplines: F1’s Martin Brundle in 1990 at Cleveland, NASCAR’s Dale Earnhardt in 1994 at Daytona, and IndyCar’s Al Unser, Jr. in 1994 at Michigan. Mark Martin was its last driver finishing second at Michigan in 1995, losing the championship to Earnhardt by a mere four points.

Dale Earnhardt had an incredible IROC career tied for the second most wins at eleven and second-most Championships with four. Earnhardt’s IROC career saw Championships earned driving a Dodge Daytona, Dodge Avenger, and Pontiac Firebird. His second title came in 1995, when he won races in the teal blue and tan Avengers at Daytona and Talladega. He utilized the orange colored Avenger at Darlington and Michigan to win the 1995. Championship by a mere four points over Mark Martin.

Its first of a pair of victories came in 1986 at Watkins Glen with Al Unser, Jr. and two years later at Michigan with Geoff Bodine. Its log book shows a who’s who of iconic drivers including Terry Labonte, Darrell Waltrip, Tom Sneva, Hans Stuck, Mario Andretti, Derek Bell, Bill Elliott, Hurley Haywood, Danny Sullivan, Bobby Rahal, Davey Jones, Jack Baldwin, Arie Luyendyk, Tommy Kendall, Ricky Rudd, Dale Jarrett, and Mark Martin.

This white Avenger represents Sullivan’s final IROC Daytona start in 1994. Originally, this car was a 1984 Camaro recording four wins by Al Unser, Jr., Bill Elliott, Geoff Brabham, and Steve Kinser. It’s one of the rare cars that both Al Unser and Al Unser, Jr. both raced. Along with Sullivan, the logbook shows iconic names such as Dale Earnhardt, Benny Parsons, Jacky Ickx, Tom Gloy, Tom Sneva, Derek Bell, Geoff Brabham, Emerson Fittipaldi, Scott Pruett, Steve Kinser, and Hurley Haywood.

Four-time NASCAR and two-time USAC Champion Jeff Gordon competed in six IROC seasons from 1995 to 2000 with one victory. Gordon re-wrote his racing resume in 1998 winning Daytonain the #6 silver Firebird. Like Gordon, Indiana native Tony Stewart, also a NASCAR and USAC Champion, used this car in 2001 in Michigan for his first of four IROC career victories.

Indy 500 Champion, Helio Castroneves, competed in the 2002-2005 IROC seasons. This is the car that Helio finished fourth at Atlanta in his final career start in November 2005.

Built in the late 1980’s as a Club race car from a 1973 911 tub, this IROC replica is in period-correct livery and bodywork. It is powered by a 3.0 liter mechanically injected high-butterfly engine and magnesium case 915 transmission. The custom made 16×9 and 16×11 Fuchs wheels are shod with Hoosier R7 tires. This car is a very correct replica, having once been mistakenly identified by a Porsche RSR Historian as one of the original cars.

Car #6 was one of the last IROC Pontiac Firebirds built. Its current livery is five-time IROC Champion Mark Martin’s from Daytona in 2006. The last two drivers to race the #6 were 2004 IROC Champion Matt Kenseth on the Daytona Road Course and 20-time World of Outlaws Champion Steve Kinser in the final IROC race at Atlanta in 2006.

This Camaro is extremely rare. Built for the 1987 season, it is one of three Camaro’s known to exist that were never transformed into a 1990 Dodge Daytona. After a crash nearly totaled the Camaro, it sat behind the New Jersey IROC shop, then sold to an Ohio farmer where it spent four-decades inside of a chicken coop The red #19 Camaro is currently being restored back to its original glory at Evernham’s Big Iron Garage in North Carolina.

As a young 25-year-old IROC rookie, Kurt Busch became the second-youngest Champion in IROC’s history. IROC success came quickly for Busch in 2003. After finishing second at the season opener at Daytona, Busch would score his first and only IROC victory in race two at the Talladega Superspeedway. Busch never let up, as he carried that impressive momentum through the season to secure the Championship over his NASCAR teammate and four-time IROC Champion Mark Martin.

IROC XXV at Daytona Kicked off the 25th year and recorded it’s seventeenth different Champion., Bobby Labonte entered the finale at Indy with a one-point lead over Kenny Brack. Labonte started last and held off his Cup teammate Tony Stewart to win the race and the Championship. Bobby and brother Terry Labonte, joined Bobby and Al Unser, as the only brothers to win IROC Championships.

Chassis #40 was one of the last IROC Firebirds built for the 2006 season. Raced three-times by two different drivers during the 2006 season, chassis #40 averaged a fifth-place finish between 1996 IndyCar Champion Scott Sharp and 2005 NASCAR Truck Series Champion Ted Musgrave. Sharp turned in the best results with a fourth-place finish on the Daytona International Speedway Road Course on June 29, 2006.

This IROC 1973 Porsche 911 replica celebrates road racing legend George Follmer’s green livery in race #3 of the inaugural IROC at Riverside Int’l Raceway on October 28, 1973. This car has raced for several decades in vintage events and festivals. It ran the Robin Hood Rally 2010 in New Hampshire and New York and won a vintage Trans-Am event at NJMP in 2011.

This 1995 Avenger has a long and distinguished IROC career. It was last raced by Ken Schrader in 1995 at the Michigan Int’ll Speedway. Schrader competed twice in this car to finish seventh and eighth place. This IROC #4 Dodge Avenger began its first IROC tour duty as a Gen 3 IROC Camaro in 1988. IROC Champions Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, and Mark Martin all won IROC events in this race car.
